THE BLOOD IS BLOOD MOVEMENT BEGAN WITH ONE MAN SEEKING CHANGE. FOUR YEARS LATER, WE ARE BRINGING HIS VISION TO HAMPTON ROADS.
Blood is Blood is a movement dedicated to encourage the FDA to change their policy that requires a gay or bi-sexual man to abstain from sex with another man for at least 12 months to be eligible to donate blood.
Blood in the United States is a a critically low level, and this blood drive not only raises awareness to the issue by showing the FDA that they can get TWICE the blood needed if this policy is reevaluated and changed, but it also SAVES LIVES.
The Old Dominion girls of Leather is asking the Hampton Roads community to come out and donate in place of friends and family who are ineligible. Bring your family. Bring friends. There will be a petition available if you would like to sign it. If not, just come out and donate blood to save a life.
At their 2nd Annual Blood Drive in 2017, Founder of Blood is Blood, Jordan Moll announced his vow to abstain from sex for 12 months so he would be eligible to donate blood in 2018. Jordan has stayed strong with his vow - and was eligible to donate last year. Come out, meet Jordan, hear his story.
